Twisting Tales
Friends, these are well known stories which the kids have changed using their creativity and imagination.  There’s a Twist in each of these Tales! Let’s enjoy the twist and relive the original tales in their fresh new avatar.

(Original story- ‘Hare and Tortoise’)

There was a small village named Green Woods, on the outskirts a forest. A clever turtle named Sluggish and a mean hare named Speedy lived in that village. Nobody liked Speedy because he was so proud of being a fast runner. It was Sluggish’s marriage anniversary. There was a grand celebration. Though Speedy wasn’t invited he still came. Speedy went to Sluggish and said, “I want to challenge you to a race.” Sluggish agreed and all were surprised to hear Sluggish’s answer. Miss Fox was pleased and came forward and said, “I would like to be the judge for this match.”

The next day, there was a crowd at the bottom of the hill. This is where the race was to begin. The runners would have to cross some hurdles first , then run through the woods and reach the finish line on the other side of the woods. The race began and Speedy sped right ahead. While crossing the hurdles, Sluggish noticed that Speedy had skipped two hurdles. He had broken the rules. Meanwhile in the audience, Sluggish’s wife also saw Speedy cheating. She thought of teaching Speedy a lesson. So she rushed back home and got Sluggish’s skateboard.

In the meantime, Speedy had entered the woods. He was taking shortcuts there too! Poor Sluggish was crawling down the track. Suddenly he saw bushes move and out sprang Sluggish’s wife with a skateboard. “What is this for?” asked Sluggish. “This my dear husband, is for teaching your friend a lesson.” Soon Sluggish was on his skateboard racing far ahead of Speedy. He raced to the finish line and won the race. Everybody cheered! Speedy had got what he deserved. “Tit for tat, ” they shouted.
