It was a bright summer day. Lisa had just woken up. She took a bath and changed into her summer clothes.
Today was the day the results of the lottery ticket she had bought will be out. She went to buy the newspaper to see if she had won. She felt very nervous and excited. She opened the page where the results were. She couldn't believe her eyes, she had won the lottery of 6 million pounds! She was ecstatic. Her mind went blank for a few seconds. She really couldn't believe it.
She put all the money she had won in her bank account. She decided to think for a few days on how she was going to spend her money. The next few days were spent thinking how many houses she would buy and what kind of cars she would buy. At last she decided to take action and went to a house agent to tell what kind of house she wanted.
The house agency was quite spacious and air-conditioned. She went inside and gave her name and address to them first. Then she began to describe what kind of houses she wanted. She told them she wanted to buy a one bedroom house and three, three bedroom houses. She told the house agent, whose name was Tim, that she wanted all the houses to be in the London City. Mr. Tim was happy that someone was going to buy 4 houses through them. He asked Lisa how she was going to pay for the houses because she looked quite young to him. Lisa told him that she had won the lottery.
Lisa was buying 4 houses so that she could live in one of it and give the other houses to rent, that way she will have a income coming for her. Next, she went to the Ferrari car dealer to buy one of their cars. After looking at about 5 Ferrari cars she bought a red Ferrari sports car. Even though she was only 25, she was an expert driver.
The other thing she did was spend her money on small things like clothes, jewelry, household items etc.
After nine months of searching for the right houses, she bought all four houses. All the houses were to her liking and taste. She Lived in the one bedroom house and gave the other three houses to rent. Even though she had become a millionaire, she had decided to keep her full time job and live like a upper-middle class woman. She was simple at heart.
The day she came to live in her new house she filled her diary with the day's details as she had always done for the past 10 years. In it were all the details of what it was like to win the lottery.
