Thank God
by Sonali Patnaik

Once there were two friends in a small village, Anamika and Shristi .They were very poor but had dreams to become great badminton players. Their parents worked as daily laborers. The friends saved money and bought rackets and shuttle cork.

One day when they were playing, Anamika hit a very high shot and the cork vanished. Suddenly Anamika saw a bird was taking their cork . They were very sad since they could not buy another cork and their dreams could not be fulfilled. They prayed in front of God.

God, who could see everything wanted to help them. God changed himself into to a bird and flew. He saw the bird trying to destroy the cork to fit in its nest. God stopped the bird from doing so and explained the whole story. The bird showed pity on those poor little girls and returned the cork to God.

Next day morning when both the girls were praying to God, they heard some sound. When they came out, they saw their cork on the ground and found that a bird was chirping. They were happy and thanked GOD .
