An Island of Chocolates in the Ocean of Ice-cream
by Shashank Kumar
One summer I went along with my family on a Europe tour. Cruise was also a part of the tour. I convinced my dad for the cruise tour.

We started on a 'rainy' Sunday morning and I felt that it would be an adventurous and an exciting trip.

While sailing on the cruise we saw quite many Dolphins and my little sister was too excited about the dolphins jumping in and out of water. After having some fun by watching the dolphins, we wanted to have some rest.

All of a sudden a big wave hit our ship and I fell off the edge of the ship into the Ocean, but I was lucky to grab the life-saving tube which was hanging onto the edge of the ship.

I tried to swim with the help of the tube for some distance but then became unconscious. I found myself on an unknown Island. I stepped onto the Island and I was very tired and hungry. I took some rest and started to wander here and there on the Island in search of food. I did not notice a bit burrow ;and slipped into it. To my great surprise I landed into a different world like Alice.

It was a beautiful place with the Ocean that was filled with Ice-cream. As I was hungry I swallowed big chunks of my favorite strawberry Ice-cream. I was thrilled to see the 'Ice-Cream Ocean' with different flavors of Ice-cream and lots of wafers and cherries!

A little far away from the Ice-cream Island I could see a dark 'brown Island'. When I started to walk and reached that place I was thrilled to find that it was filled with a variety of brown chocolate. The trees on this Island were filled with different kinds of chocolates hanging all over the branches instead of the usual flowers and fruits. I felt very happy and excited to find my favorite Dairy milk chocolate hanging on from the trees. I could not stop myself from plucking my favorite chocolate. As I quickly plucked the chocolate from the tree, a demon suddenly appeared on the branch in front of me. I shrieked on seeing the tall, one-eyed demon as it grabbed me and dragged me into a large dark chocolate cave. I was totally taken aback when I saw a number of children of my age who were huddled together in fear.

I soon noticed that the demon made them all his slaves as I heard the gruff voice of the demon ordering the frightened children to do this and that for him.

After sometime all the children made a plan and escaped from the cave. I could see this because I heard their plan of escape. Unfortunately I was the only one caught and left behind in the cave by the demon.

I felt very lonely, hungry and miserable without my family and friends around me. The demon ordered me to "get the food", "Clean the floor", "wash the dirty clothes", "pluck the chocolates and bring them". All day I kept working for him without being given any food and rest. I was too tired and helpless and felt asleep.

Suddenly I felt someone waking me up by shouting "get up!". "You are getting late". I thought it was the demon who was waking me up, but to my pleasant surprise, it was my mom who was waking me up because I had fallen asleep for a very long time on the ship and then I realized that the Ice-cream Ocean, Chocolate cave and the demon were all a 'sweet dream'. But I felt sad that I could not taste my favorite strawberry Ice-cream and my favorite Dairy Milk Chocolate, but felt very happy that I was not a slave to the horrifying demon.

When I narrated this dream to my family they had a hearty laugh and enjoyed all the things that I told them.
