The Princess With the Longest Hair
by Tammana Mohta
Book Reviews by members of Reading Rainbow Club

This book is written by Komilla Ratoe, illustrated by Vandana Bist and published by Katha Books. It is a story about a princess who had very long hair. Her name was Parinita.

Parinita lived in a palace, but wanted to go out of the palace but she couldn’t go. So one day she ran away from the palace. She runs towards the hills. While going to the hill Parinita helped a poor woman, a fisherman and a cow by giving a handful hair to everyone. The woman made blanket, the fisherman made net to catch fish and the cow made a shade.

I like the story because the story teaches us that we should be kind and helpful. I want to be a princess like Parinita but I don’t want to be locked up. I want to be free like Parinita. I like this book very much.
