I was tiny, young and hasty
and my food wasn't too tasty.
So I took the liberty to plop it down the bin
whether it was a spring roll or soup in a tin
and when the amma didn't clean up,
the dustbin would squeak and then blow up,
it would go on and on
through the plague and through the storm,
but as I rushed home that day,
I saw a girl who had nowhere to stay,
she was digging in a stinking pile looking all pale,
picking and tasting food that was too stale.
My spirit faltered and I burst into tears.
I looked at her digging, ignoring all the jeers
here she was working so hard for a little food
and there I was throwing food enough for a brood.
How could I have been so lax,
didnt the poor people already have enough tax?
They didnt have enough to eat
while I was being a nasty cheat
but hey!no more, no way anymore.
we'll battle it out and eat even the worst.
Yes we'll eat it all.
'cause the foods for all !!!!
