The Witch and the Intelligent Girl
by Ananya Prasad
There was a very simple, gentle, kind, intelligent and beautiful girl who  never wished to deceive and quarrel with others.

One day she came along with her friends to an old house and found that there were so many flowers and the house was decorated with so many things like chocolates, cakes, jam and cream-biscuits. The girl took one chocolate and ate it and suddenly she started feeling sleepy. She lay down on the floor.

Her friends got scared. They started running here and there. In the confusion they left her there. Then after a few minutes an ugly evil witch came and smiled at the girl.

The girl opened her eyes and found herself in a hard and strong cage. The girl was very sad. She felt like crying. The ugly witch opened the cage and gave the girl a bucket and a broom. She told her to clean the house and bring some water in the bucket. The girl cleaned the house and brought water in the bucket.

The ugly witch was resting in a chair. Her magic stick was lying there. The intelligent girl took the magic stick and chanted the magic mantra and turned the evil witch into a small mouse and put her in a small cage and ran home.
