Poems.
If I Were...
by Ananya S Guha
If I were just that wee bit old
I would go for a grand search
of  gold
The kind of gold that would
give me health
wealth and cavalier times
and I would play the mimes
rhyming with chimes
The kind of gold
which would never make me
old
only a king's palace
without any malice
No power
only the hour
of importunate wealth
sturdy health
And, if I were a wee bit young
I would still go in for that gold
so that I never never grow old!
