I went out with my dad one day,
For a trip to Sambalpur by the railway.
The trip was planned to the very last day,
Going and coming both by railway!
I went to the station,
Wondered that the train was such a creation,
Made by man when there was so much of war tension,
And today it travels in rails having the least deviation!
I saw the train which was full of people,
Its horn was like that of a bugle,
The station was full of waiting people,
A second blow from the horn and flew a nesting seagull.
The train blew its horn,
To indicate people it wasn’t going to wait for long,
A rush of people and the station was gone,
By the path it took, I felt it was going to Gurgaon!
On my way,
I found the seat empty and on it decided to lie on my side,
And then got up to see the sceneries that passed by.
It was composed of:-
15% concentrated population of bees,
50% crop plantations,
And a 100% beauty for people in tension!
On the way I saw much more amusing sights,
Like bulls on the grass indulging in a fight,
I thought the train was now going too slow,
And at that time the two bulls gave a loud bellow!
I saw many cashew nut plantations,
Planned to make a PowerPoint Presentation,
People rushed into the big vehicle used for transportation,
Some started talking on their mobiles possibly remembering their daily tension!
As the Sambalpur road came,
Me and my father came out of the train,
My father called his friend in vain,
And asked him if he could come to pick us up as it had started to rain.
My uncle arrived in his car too very fast,
I went in and looked out of the window as our train went past…
On reaching home, I recalled the sights,
The glimpses of nature and animals conducting fights,
I almost forgot the train workshop,
Switched the computer on,
To write a poem and the first I saw was
A new wallpaper spread on the desktop!
