Star shine, star bright,
Star to hang in a night sky far,
Like a sandstorm or a rose bed,
Curled into a whirl of tar.
Now too, a snowflake party of dizzy baubles,
It's time to close my eyes and leave my troubles.
I'll lay my head on a moonlit pillow and catch a tiny weep,
Until the stars outside my window, come along to peep.
Then they'll sing me a lullaby from days gone by,
And I'll remember my song with a smile so shy.
A drowsy heart will say it's time to fly and part,
A big wide yawn, a tender frown and I'm off to beddy byes.
