Poems .
Oh, My Brother
by Geoffrey Jackson

You are
Blood of my blood
Flesh of my flesh
Bone of my bone
You were with me in
The wooden walls at Salamis
I met my Waterloo with you
Apartheid did not divide us
Nor segregation or Klu Klux Klan
You bent the bow
Of life itself
Music danced in your eyes
Until heavy with sunsets
They drooped
And all our ideals
Love of the Good
Ended in the constellation of stars
In the night sky
As they swayed gently
To the music of the spheres
