Poems
Clock
by Sonali Patnaik

Tick Tock Tick says my little clock
It makes sounds like a cock
It is round in shape like a ring of basket ball
Placed above the table in the dinning hall

It is of great use
I hope it will not confuse
It attracts me a lot
Also then when I was a tiny tot

It always shakes its hands
Which can never stand
One big and one small
The smaller one I feel do not move at all

It is my guide in managing time
It wakes me up when I am in great slumber
It tells me Hey! Get up
It is time to wake up

Tick Tock Tick says my little clock
It is also my alarm clock
It makes a great deal of noise
But it is my best friend and best choice.
